I've discovered a quick and simple way to help increase the traffic to my main website and my blogs using a site called Squidoo.com. Some of you guys have probably heard of it.
Squidoo allows anyone to make a special webpage that focuses on some subject that you are an expert in. You don't even need much expertise to create a "lens" on Squidoo.
A Squidoo lens is a webpage that focuses on a particular topic. For example you could make a lens about a hobby, sports team, your great grandmother, or even a product that you are selling.
The cool part is Squidoo pages (lenses) are getting high placement in search engines for many keywords.
Squidoo.com gets loads of traffic because there is so much useful information there. So people will find your Squidoo 'lens' when they are exploring there, or are directed there through a search engine. On your Squidoo lens, you can put links to your main website(s). With the right description, etc. visitors will click through to your website or blog.
Go to Squidoo.com and explore, and if you feel it fits your needs, set up a free lens on your favorite subject. If you do, drop me a note here on the blog and let me know where your lens is.
